Congratulations on your admittance to Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, the westernmost seminary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a founding member of the 18-member Graduate Theological Union, and a seminary truly on the cutting edge of ministry!

New Student Orientation is August 20-22, 2014. Orientation is an exciting time to build relationships, learn about new opportunities, and get the information you will need to navigate seminary life. You are most welcome to participate in all events as much as possible. GTU MA students are required to participate in GTU Orientation on August 21, 2014.

Thriving in Seminary is August 25-29, 2014. Thriving in Seminary is half-day sessions devoted to key aspects of seminary learning that will prepare you for a successful semester ahead. We strongly recommend this for all GTU MA students who affiliate with PLTS.

Fall Classes: The first day of classes is the day after Labor Day, September 2nd.

Housing Information:  Contact the PLTS Housing Coordinator Ed Johnson phone 510.559.2730. The priority deadline for submitting housing applications is April 15, 2011. We cannot guarantee housing after that date and housing will be assigned in the order applications are received. You can move into housing on August 15th. Students taking Summer Greek can move in on June 15th. Download a housing application.

Financial Aid:  Applications are available online at the GTU web site. It is important that you submit your application as soon as possible! The GTU deadline is March 1st. If you have financial aid questions please email Denise Morita, Assistant Director of Financial Aid or call her at 510.649.2469.
