Phyllis Anderson—Projects

The projects that currently capture my imagination and consume my days are:

Maintaining the strength of the seminary in the midst of a very challenging economy in partnership with the GTU and the other ELCA seminaries;

Strengthening our common life on campus as a worshiping, praying, welcoming and caring community, through which we grow in faith and are formed for ministry;

Participating in a year-long process with students, Graduates, faculty, staff, and board to discern whether PLTS will officially become a Reconciling in Christ seminary, explicitly welcoming gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered pesons;

Being present with our friends and donors as much as I can to thank them for their incredible support and to encourage their participation in a campaign to renovate the chapel and classrooms and increase financial aid for our students;

Moving ahead with incremental improvements to the campus in keeping with the Campus Master Plan: fresh paint, refinished floors, and new furniture for Sawyer Refectory and guest rooms, new signage at the main entrance, new organ in the chapel; toilets that flush downstairs in Giesy.
