Dean of Faculty

The dean of the faculty, as the seminary’s chief academic officer (CAO), is responsible for all educational and curricular matters of the seminary. On the one hand, the dean supports and nurtures the members of the faculty as a collaborative community of faith, learning and scholarship. On the other hand, the dean leads the faculty in planning and implementing the seminary’s various academic programs to assure that they cultivate habits of theological reflection, foster wisdom pertaining to responsible life in faith, and contribute to the formation of spiritual awareness, moral sensitivity, and a committed Christian vocation. The dean also represents PLTS in the shared work of the GTU and ELCA deans.
