Study Trip to Israel and Palestine

Study Trip to Israel and Palestine

PLTS and CLU are sponsoring a 15-day trip to Palestine and Israel for January 6-20, 2017. Under the leadership of former board member Rod Schofield, Pastors Gabi and Meghan Aelabouni and PLTS staff Sara Wilson, the group will visit holy and contemporary sites, seeking deeper historical, Biblical, geographical, cultural and political understanding.

The itinerary will include Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, Lower Galilee, Haifa, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Jericho, Hebron and places in between. Participants will visit sites of Jesus’ miracles and teaching and his passion, and places related to Mary, Elijah, Herod, David, Abraham and Sarah and the Dead Sea Scrolls, as well as the Muslim, Druze and Baha’i faiths.

In addition, there will be visits to a Palestinian village, a Israeli-Palestinian intentional community, Augusta Victoria Hospital, the Holocaust history museum, Tantur, and political leaders. And other surprises.

It will be an unforgettable experience, not only for first-time visitors, but also those who have taken previous tours.

The Study Trip is open to all students, alums, donors, constituents of PLTS and Cal Lutheran, and their invitees. The cost, including round-trip air transportation from San Francisco, twelve hotel nights, most meals, tour guide and ground transportation, is set at $3,729 per person, double occupancy (subject to minor changes).
