Housing Contracts & Move-In Information

Please read this page carefully. It contains all the information you will need to successfully move into PLTS Housing.

All new and returning students must complete a new contract. Additionally, all Delaware Apartment Residents (new, returning and current) must sign a new copy of the PLTS Housing Rules and Regulations. Students currently in housing DO NOT submit a new deposit, but must complete a new contract and sign the housing PLTS Housing Rules and Regulations each year. All contracts are for a fixed term. Extensions must be applied for in writing and are not guaranteed.

Beasom Hall Dormitory

Download a contract and print it out. Fill in sign and date the contract. Mail the contract along with a signed copy of the waiver or a deposit in the amount of $300 made out to "PLTS" to:

Once your signed contract is received a copy will be made and placed in your student mailbox. Students who do not wish to sign a waiver must submit the appropriate deposit. Please note that only checks and money orders can be accepted for deposits. Deposits cannot be deducted from financial aid awards and must be made as a separate payment through the Housing Office. Always write your student ID number on any check of money order. If someone else is paying your deposit please ask them to send a note along with the check and to write your name and student ID number on the check. The school must receive your deposit and signed contract before you can move in to Beasom. Pets are not allowed in Beasom.

Generally dorm rooms are not ready to be occupied until August 15th. While rare exceptions can be made, most dorm rooms are booked until the morning of August 15th. Coordinate your move in by email with Dorm Co-Proctor John Brett 206.462.0838 AND with the Housing Coordinator Ed Johnson 510.849.2730 at least one week in advance. You will receive the Beasom Hall Community Living Guidelines from the dorm proctor when you move in arrival.

New Policy! As of July 31, 2012 housing deposits are no longer required of new and returning students, staff, and faculty. Download, sign, and submit the Housing Deposit Waiver form and submit it to the Housing Coordinator. Students currently residing in campus housing may sign the waiver and request a refund of their housing deposit after September 15, 2012. A detailed inspection is required prior to the refund being issued.

Delaware Apartments

Mail the both documents along with a deposit in the amount of $500 for a one-bedroom apartment and $600 for a two-bedroom apartment made out to "PLTS" to:

Generally apartments are scheduled to be reoccupied on or after August 15th. Arrangements can be made for you to check-in earlier, but must be approved in advance. Checking in earlier than the 15th will result in pro-rated rent being charged to your account.
