PLTS Profiles – Graduates

Rev. Michael D. Wilker—MDiv 1994

I remember theological education at PLTS as being full of lively dialogue and hearty study of the Gospel and the gifts of the church. This learning community was leaven and spice for my faith in God and for my call as a minister of Christ. When we later scattered into the world in our calls, another truth about PLTS emerged: this seminary is like leaven and spice for the ELCA and for Christ’s active presence in the world. In my 10 years of parish ministry, and now as executive director of Lutheran Volunteer Corps, I have found that PLTS’s gifts continue to be nourishing and enlivening for my call to ministry.
