GTU Common Master of Arts

The GTU Common MA degree is an academic program offering students a framework for sustained inquiry into theological issues or concerns. It provides academic structure that can enrich one’s assumptions about theological and ethical issues inherent in life or work. It also offers students the opportunity to develop a high level of competence in a specific area of study in order to prepare them for further study at the doctoral level.

GTU MA students are most strongly affiliated with PLTS through their academic advisors. Like the joint MA/MDiv students, MA students are strongly encouraged to consult with the GTU MA Program Handbook available online. A full-time MA program is defined as 12.0 credit hours per semester.
