Brief Academic and Professional History

The Rev. Dr. Carol Miles received her doctorate in Theology and Communication in Preaching from Princeton Theological Seminary. Dr. Miles has served as Associate Professor of Preaching at Luther Seminary and as Assistant Professor of Homiletics at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, TX. Dr. Miles recently covered Dr. Tom Rogers’ sabbatical last year at PLTS. During Spring 2014, she will serve half-time teaching Biblical Preaching, and to serve in other capacities, including serving on candidacy panels, PLTS's worship committee, and as faculty advisor to students.

Roger Rogahn, Church History

Brief Academic and Professional History

The Rev. Dr. Roger Rogahn received his doctorate in Reformation History from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles.  Dr. Rogahn taught Reformation History and Lutheran Confessions when PLTS had a program at the Claremont School of Theology.  He has also taught at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Cairo, Egypt.  Rogahn has served as a pastor for many years in the ELCA and its predecessor bodies.  During Spring 2014, he will teach Lutheran Confessions and Church History as well as serve in various capacities around campus, such as the worship committee and candidacy panels.  He will also serve as faculty advisor and as Formation Group leader.
