Day of Silence

Day of Silence

The Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion will recognizing Day of Silence on April 23rd. You can take a stand against LGBTQ+ bullying by taking a vow of silence on this day, being a part of the CCEI's social media campaign, and/or changing your zoom background for the day!

To be a part of the social media campaign:

Take a photo showing who you are being silent for and share your photo with @clustudentlife IG page on the day of or send it to Izzy Ortiz, The Coordinator for The Center for Cultural Engagement and Inclusion via email: Isabelleortiz@callutheran.edu before April 23rd.

Example of a photo submission:

On a sheet of paper write: Today is the Day of Silence — a national student-led movement highlighting the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ people in schools. I am silent for my best friend (please refrain from using peoples names to keep from outing individuals). #DayofSilence

We will showcase all submissions on @clustudentlife on April 23rd.

Download the zoom background below so that you can show your solidairty on Day of Silence as well.
