Katherine Timpte is a New Testament scholar specializing in Markan studies.  Her Princeton dissertation, "Passage Towards Childhood: The Transformational Role of Discipleship in Mark 10:13-16," uses a hybrid of socio-historical, anthropological, and literary critical methods to argue that Jesus requires people to fundamentally change to enter the kingdom of God. Katherine has been teaching at St. Mary's College of California since 2014.
