Veterans in Ministry
PLTS is proud to support military veterans and active duty service members through participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program.
Support and Advocacy
Students, staff, and faculty who are veterans and active duty service members are encouraged to use the Community Groups process to create a group or groups for relationship-building, conversation, support, accompaniment, and advocacy, depending on the interests and needs of those involved.
PLTS maintains a listing of local networks and communities in the Bay Area that are available to provide support, education, nourishment, and community for our students, staff, and faculty.
Learn About Your Benefits
We are committed to honoring those who serve our country by making a quality education for veterans, military members, and their families a reality. You and your dependents can earn an undergraduate or graduate degree with a diverse offering of programs at one of our three campus locations.
The Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) and Post 9/11 GI Bill provide education benefits to eligible service members and veterans.
This benefit may pay up to 100% of the tuition expenses of its members for college courses taken during off-duty hours.
Yellow Ribbon Program
As part of this program, PLTS will fund tuition and fee expenses that exceed amounts payable under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
Credit for Service
The Joint Services Transcript (JST) is an academically accepted document approved by the American Council on Education (ACE) to validate a service member's military occupational experience and training along with the corresponding ACE college credit recommendations. Learn more
