Application and Selection Process
For returning students the priority deadline for student housing applications is April 1. For incoming students the priority deadline for student housing applications is May 31. All housing contracts expire on May 31 and all students must reapply for housing each year. Rental rates are subject to change annually starting on June 1. Student preferences will be taken into consideration, however, housing in the same apartment cannot be guaranteed throughout a student's program.
Reminders about applying for housing are sent to current residents, interns, returning students and affiliated students by e-mail before the due date. Housing is assigned by a general priority list: PLTS first-year students, PLTS returning students, PLTS-affiliated GTU students, GTU students, and then part-time students. There is no application fee for housing.
After April 1, applications from returning students will be considered in the order they were submitted. Deposits, and rental agreements are due 15 business days after being notified of a housing assignment or by August 15, or on move-in whichever is earlier.
Non-PLTS students (that is GTU students or students from any of the constituent GTU schools or affiliates) will have their housing applications processed beginning in May. Those students must be actively enrolled and be in good academic and financial standing with their home institutions. Housing cannot be rented to the general public or to non-GTU affiliated students.
