Rev. Frank B. Aguirre

April 6, 1941 – July 24, 2015

A 1980 graduate of PLTS, Rev. Frank Aguirre passed away on July 24. Rev. Aguirre graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in 1963 and spent several years working in elementary and high school level education. In 1977, Rev. Aguirre began his studies at PLTS and was the first student of Hispanic background to graduate. After being ordained in 1980, he was called by the Division for Service and Mission in America to serve in the Los Angeles Area as a pastor developer. He accepted a call in 1983 to Faith American Lutheran Church in Oakland, CA where he served for 9 years. In 1992, he accepted a call to Faith Lutheran Church, located in Stockton, CA. He served there until 1996.

Rev. Aguirre is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy, and his children Kristy, Kerry, and Steve.
