Rev. Wayne Witcher
Wayne Clinton Witcher was born in Lenexa, Kansas on April 30, 1937. He received his bachelor’s degree from Midland College. He graduated from PLTS in 1965 and returned to the Midwest to be near family. He received a PhD in Counseling and Guidance, worked for Leavenworth Federal Prison for a while, and then returned to Kansas City to open a private counseling practice. Wayne was present for his 50th class reunion at PLTS in 2015.
Wayne died on December 26, 2017 of a previously undiagnosed medical condition. His memorial service was held on January 6 at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Prarie Village, Kansas. He is survived by his girlfriend of several years, Sheila Wikas, three children, two step-children, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
